Hurt Locker / Sitting in Silence
Go inward my meditation guide said. Go inward. It seems lately that going inward is what I have been doing a lot lately.… Continue
If you've ever felt stuck in a loop of overwhelm, juggling responsibilities while your dreams sit quietly on the back burner—this one's for you. In this deeply personal reflection, I open up about a season of burnout, self-assessment, and the bold decision to recalibrate. For the next 90 days, I’m inviting you to walk beside me as I chart a new course—not from perfection, but from realignment. This isn't about hustle. It’s about heart. It’s about reclaiming purpose, building momentum, and giving ourselves permission to reimagine what’s possible. Let’s begin again—on purpose, with purpose.

Overachieving is the myth of the complacent.
Twelve weeks can be life-changing. As I walk through this next chapter of my journey, I’d like to invite you to come along.
Life throws us curveballs all the time. We become reactionary and lose sight of the spirit that lies within us. I often talk about “stop gaps”—those important and necessary pauses where we must hit the brakes and truly take in what’s happening around us. I’ve been in one of those phases for a few weeks now.
And I’ve assessed.
We all have our ways of examining our lives from different angles. Some call them paradigm shifts. What lens are we looking through? How can we reframe our current situation and see it differently?
My plate is usually overflowing. My days are whirlwinds of meetings, clients, and constant responsibilities—until I was thrown a major curveball. I made a choice to stop. Full stop. I took a day to recalibrate, to look at what truly mattered. I asked myself what I really needed. And with that came a painful but necessary insight: something needed to change.
Focusing on what needs to happen—and mapping out a plan to course-correct—can feel overwhelming, even impossible. But once we acknowledge that a course correction must happen, we can begin.
For me, my weekly plan was full of things that just weren’t getting done. And while I love intentional imbalance—those seasons where we hyper-focus and commit all hands on deck to one area—this wasn’t that.
Over the past few months, I’ve struggled to find the energy, the drive, the grit, and the desire to pour into my dreams. The things I needed to do were there—written down, clear, waiting. But every week, I’d look at the same list. Why wasn’t I executing? Why couldn’t I commit? Why couldn’t I step into action?
I had become reactionary. I lost sight of why I was doing it all. Fear and self-doubt crept in. I lost myself for a moment.
So, this weekend, I dragged myself—kicking and screaming—to my weekly journal. I reread two years of my journey. And the pattern became clear: I had been spinning in everyone else’s orbit, placing their needs above my own, convincing myself that my plans could wait. That maybe I was too much. That maybe I needed to tone it down.
But can our dreams really wait?
I fiercely believe in my journey. I usually have boundless energy, pouring myself fully into everything I do—until I didn’t. And here we are.
For the next 90 days, I’ll be sharing my path forward with you. I’ll put my plan out there for all to see—to show that it can be done. You’ll be my accountability partner. And together, we’ll explore what life looks like when we fully and wholeheartedly believe that we can accomplish anything we set our minds and hearts to.
